Acceptance of these terms
By buying a pass, registering for a session, or using this website, you agree to these terms. Design & Talk is a fictional festival used as an example in this template. If you do not agree, please do not buy a pass or use the website.
Passes and registration
Each pass is personal and carries the name of the person who will attend. Student passes require a valid student card at the entrance. Studio passes admit the number of people shown at checkout. Organisers may refuse entry if the name on the pass does not match the holder.
Prices, payment and taxes
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and include applicable sales taxes unless stated otherwise. Payment is processed by our ticketing partner. A pass is confirmed once you receive the confirmation email, so please check that the address you entered is correct.
Transfers and refunds
You can transfer your pass to another person at no cost until seven days before the festival by writing to hello@designandtalk.com. Passes can be refunded in full up to thirty days before the festival. After that date, passes are not refundable, except where the law says otherwise.
Program changes and cancellation
The program, speakers and venues may change for reasons outside our control. We will publish updates on the website and email pass holders. If the festival is cancelled, we will refund the price of your pass. We are not responsible for travel or accommodation costs.
Venue rules
Everyone attending must follow the venue’s safety instructions and the Code of Conduct. Bags may be checked at the entrance. Large equipment, tripods and professional lighting need written approval from the organisers.
Photography and recording
The festival is photographed and filmed. By attending, you agree that you may appear in images and recordings used to promote future editions. If you prefer not to appear, tell the team at the welcome desk and we will do our best to respect your wish.
Intellectual property
The festival name, identity, website, texts and images belong to the organisers or their licensors. Talks and workshops remain the property of their authors. You may not record, publish or sell session content without written permission.
Liability
We take reasonable care in organising the festival, but we cannot be responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal belongings, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of the judicial district of Québec.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the festival evolves. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version. For any question, write to hello@designandtalk.com.
